Free tool for this guide JPG to PDF → Turn photos and images into one PDF.To convert JPG to PDF on an Android phone, open the JPG to PDF tool in Chrome, choose your photos, set their order, and tap Create PDF. It works in the browser, needs no app, and your photos are not uploaded.
The finished PDF lands in your Downloads folder. This guide covers each step, plus what to do when the file is too big or a photo comes out sideways.
What you need
- An Android phone with Chrome, Firefox, Edge or another modern browser
- The photos in your gallery, or ready to take with the camera
- About two minutes
Steps to make a PDF from photos on Android
- Open the JPG to PDF tool in your browser and tap the box to choose photos.
- Your phone shows a file picker. Choose your gallery or photo app, or pick the camera option if it is offered to take new photos. Tap each photo you want. Most pickers let you select several photos at once.
- Confirm the selection. The photos appear as a list with small previews.
- Arrange the order with the arrow buttons. The first photo becomes page 1.
- Choose the page size, direction and margin. A4 with a Small margin suits most documents. Choose Fit to image if each page should match its photo exactly.
- Open PDF size and choose Balanced if you want a lighter file. Choose Original quality when you need the sharpest result, for example for small print.
- Tap Create PDF, then tap Download. Chrome saves the file to Downloads, and a bar at the bottom lets you open it straight away.
Where to find the PDF afterwards
Open the Files app (sometimes called My Files) and go to Downloads. You will see your PDF at the top, because it is the newest.
You can also tap the Send it section on the result screen. On many Android phones it opens the share sheet, so you can send the PDF to WhatsApp, email or another app without searching for the file first.
How to get a good result
Small habits make a big difference to how a PDF looks:
- Take photos straight on. Hold the phone parallel to the page. If you shoot at an angle, text slants and is harder to read.
- Use even light. A window gives soft light. Avoid your own shadow on the page.
- Fill the frame. The page should take up most of the photo. If you shoot from far away, the text becomes tiny.
- Keep the order in mind. Photograph pages in order, so you do not have to rearrange them.
- Check before you create the PDF. The previews are small, but you can spot a page that is blurry or upside down and replace it.

When the PDF is too big
A PDF made from many full-size phone photos can be several megabytes. That is often too large for email or an upload form.
You have two ways to fix it. Either set PDF size to Smallest before you create the PDF, or compress the finished file with Compress PDF and choose a target size such as 500 KB or 1 MB. You can also shrink each photo first with Compress Image.
Common problems
The picker does not show my photos. Check that the browser has permission to read photos or media. If Android asks, allow it. You can also choose your gallery app from the picker’s menu.
A photo is rotated. The tool uses the rotation stored by the camera. If a page is still wrong, fix the PDF with Rotate PDF.
The PDF will not open on another phone. PDFs made here are standard files and open in any PDF reader. Make sure the download finished before you send it.
It runs slowly. Many large photos take time to process on an older phone. Try fewer photos at a time, then join the PDFs afterwards with Merge PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app to convert JPG to PDF on Android?
No. The tool runs in your browser. Open the page, choose photos and create the PDF. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is made inside your browser, on your phone. Your photos are never sent to our servers or anyone else.
Can I convert PNG or WebP photos too?
Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP files all work. A HEIC photo also works: a small converter downloads once, only when a HEIC file is chosen.
How many photos can I add?
There is no fixed limit. The real limit is your phone’s memory, so many large photos may be slow on an older device.
Is there a watermark on the PDF?
No. The PDF you download is clean, and you can use the tool as often as you like.
