Your files never leave your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your documents and photos stay private. It is free, has no watermark and needs no sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

Will the text still be selectable?

Yes. Cropping changes only the visible area of each page. The text and pictures are not redrawn or turned into images, so you can still select, search and copy the text.

Is the cropped-off part deleted?

No. It is hidden, not deleted, and it is still inside the file. That is fine for tidying margins, but do not use cropping to hide private information, because someone can bring the hidden part back with a PDF editor. To remove private details for good, use our Redact PDF tool.

What if my pages have different sizes?

Each page is cut by the same share of its own width and height, so the same box gives a similar result on pages of different sizes. The preview shows the first page you chose.

Can I crop just a few pages?

Yes. Choose Only the pages I choose and tap the pages to crop. The other pages stay exactly as they were.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The pages are cropped in your browser on your own device, and your original file is never changed.
