OGG to MP3

OGG files from games, apps and some downloads often will not play on a phone or in a car. MP3 will.

Files never leave your device

How to use it

  1. Step 1: Tap the box and choose one or more OGG files.
  2. Step 2: Set the quality and, if the sound is a voice, choose Mono to save space.
  3. Step 3: Tap Convert to MP3 and download the result. Several files arrive in one ZIP.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your documents and photos stay private. It is free, has no watermark and needs no sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

What is an OGG file?

OGG is a container for sound. Inside it there is usually Vorbis or Opus audio. It is free to use, which is why games and open source programs choose it, but many players on phones cannot open it.

Does it read both kinds of OGG?

Yes, it reads OGG files that hold Opus or Vorbis sound. If the file is damaged or uses something unusual, the page tells you so before you start.

Will the music keep its quality?

It is saved again as MP3, so a little detail is lost. Choose 192 or 256 kbps to stay close to the original. The OGG file you started with is not changed.

Can I keep the tags such as the song title?

No. Only the sound is converted. Title and artist names are not copied, so you may need to add them again in your music app.

Can I convert game or app sounds in bulk?

Yes. Select all the OGG files in the folder and add them together. They are converted one after another, and a ZIP holds the MP3 files. A very large pile takes a while on a phone, so a computer is quicker.

Does anything leave my phone when I convert?

No. They are read and converted on your own device and never sent to a server.
